C-Suite Experience

John joined The Leather Factory, Inc. (n/k/a Tandy Leather Factory) as Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer, and Director, to take the specialty retailer/wholesaler public and consolidate a fragmented industry through acquisition. He guided the company through the going-public process, including listing on the American Stock Exchange (AMEX).

John founded and scaled two successful advisory firms:

  • Tittle & Associates, Inc.: Started this CPA firm at age 24 and grew it into a full-service organization providing financial advisory services well beyond traditional accounting — including bankruptcy & restructuring, valuation, and litigation consulting / expert testimony — before selling the practice to Whitley Penn in 1993 (now a top-50 CPA firm nationwide) to take a client public.
  • Tittle Advisory Group, Inc.: Boutique firm specializing in distressed-company consulting, expert testimony, and interim management since 2011.

In his words

Philosophy

In distressed situations, there’s no substitute for experience. Having sat in the CEO’s as well as the CFO’s chair during challenging times, advised scores of companies through restructuring, and testified as an expert in complex litigation over the past 40+ years, I understand that every decision carries significant weight. My role is to provide clarity, decisive leadership, and steady guidance when clients need it most.
